Mexican Wedding Cakes
1 c. butter 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. powdered sugar Procedure: Cream butter, add powdered sugar and cream until smooth. Add flour, salt, and vanilla. Mixture is stiff; chill. Break off small pieces of dough, roll into balls. Bake about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Roll in powdered sugar immediately while cookie still warm. Set out to cool. Variation: Add 1 cup chopped Brazil nuts to dough before chilling.
