Mexican Wedding Cakes

1/2 lb. shortening (1/2 must be butter)
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Procedure:

Blend all ingredients. Form into 1 inch balls. Flatten with a glass dipped into flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool on rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. These freeze well.
